Crane & Hoist Modernization and Rehabilitation
With the experience and expertise of over a decade of specialty crane and hoist work, K&N is well-equipped to tackle all of your modernization and rehabilitation needs.
30 Years of Crane and Hoist Rehabilitation and Modernization
In 1991, K&N began providing crane rehabilitation and modernization services to help our customers extend the life of their valuable capital equipment. Over the years, we’ve learned quite a bit about necessities and ideals when it comes to what and how large overhead machinery should be. We continually innovate and push the limits of the power, control, and durability of the cranes we repair and rehabilitate.
The Rehabilitation and Modernization Process
Depending on your unique needs, we offer a wide range of crane and hoist options, including rehabilitation everything from shafting to weighing systems. Explore the typical rehabilitation processes and see what K&N can do for you:
Crane and Hoist Inspection
The initial step in any crane rehabilitation or modernization process is the inspection. At K&N, our team is trained to spot structural issues and locate equipment areas that can be improved upon using modernization techniques.
One of the most pressing needs to address during crane rehabilitation and modernization is compromised structural integrity. Structural issues pose a real threat to our customers’ employees, so K&N provides OSHA and ANSI compliant repairs to keep workers safe and minimize workplace downtime.
Upgrading Crane and Hoist Capacity
In addition to repairing structural issues, K&N often works on projects that instead require modernization to bring equipment up to par with our customers’ advancing operations. When, for example, machinery needs to lift larger loads than previously required, it can be costly to invest in an entirely new piece of equipment. K&N addresses this challenge by implementing our modernization and rehabilitation expertise to reinforce the cranes and hoists to improve weight capacity, among other upgrade capabilities.
K&N has rehabilitated and modernized cranes and hoists for a long list of satisfied customers, including:
- US Army Corps of Engineers
- Bureau of Reclamation
- State Public Utility Districts
- Kaiser Aluminum
- Kinross Gold
- Wallula Paper Mills
